Celebrating my son’s birth with a call for advocacy

Today is my son George Chaim’s nineteenth birthday. I have written about his life before, about the beautiful soul that he is. I’ve also written about the challenges of being an advocate for a loved one with an intellectual disability in a society that too often marginalizes and devalues people with disabilities.
